With rising rental costs in the commercial and industrial sector, office space is at a premium. It is therefore wise to utilise the space you already have available. The modern industrial property (storage space and offices) is generally open plan, light and airy which makes for a great working environment. However, sometimes the headroom is too great and is not always conducive to maximising the available space. Internal offices can be created by dividing rooms with stud wall composite or glass partitioning and if carried out effectively, these changes can add a touch of style and class to your environment as well as privacy which is paramount in an office environment.

Installing a mezzanine floor is a great form of utilising available space. Mezzanine flooring systems will fulfil all of your warehouse storage requirements and could save you money on the costly exercise of moving buildings by allowing you to capitalise on the additional square footage provided by a mezzanine floor.

It’s surprising how many companies are unaware of the potential space available to them by creating a mezzanine. In warehouse situations you will often see very high stacking floor to ceiling, which may be appropriate for large heavy items that need forklifts to transport them, but is not necessarily beneficial if you do not want to use heavy equipment to mobilise smaller stored items.

A mezzanine floor is not necessarily the first solution you would consider, but it is often; by far; the most cost effective and obvious solution.
